Submissions must be postmarked or emailed by October 1, 2022. (Finished copies preferred, electronic copies also accepted.)
If you are 35+ and publishing your first book this year, please consider nominating your book for the annual list. All submissions for the annual list will be also considered for reviews and Q & A.
To nominate a book:
Authors are at least 35 years old by December 31 of current year.
All categories eligible excluding children’s.
The book is the author’s first published book, and is published between January 1 and December 31 of current year. Exceptions are:
- Previously co-authored wherein the nominee is second author.
- Previously published titles are children’s books (but not YA).

We celebrate authors who debuted age 35+ in a variety of ways on our site. Please read the below guidelines to ensure a speedy-ish response to your pitch. For now, we accept pitches and nominations for books of every category except children’s.
If you are an author who published their first book at age 35+, regardless of publication year, please consider pitching us for a book review of a new or paperback release and/or the author Q & A.
Book Reviews
To pitch a book for review, please send your pitch to 3535over [at] gmail [dot] com. We are most interested in upcoming new releases as well as new-in-paperback. At the time of pitch, please confirm that author was 35+ at time of first publication. Thank you for sending materials only upon request!
Q & A
If you are an author who published their first book at age 35+, regardless of publication year, please let us know that you are interested in the Q&A by sending confirmation that you were 35+ when your first book was published, and include “Q&A” in the subject line of your email.
